The show is co-created by Rob Mac, known best for Mythic Quest, and Noah Hawley, the writer for Alien: Earth. Noah Hawley will serve as the showrunner, while Rob Mac is set to take the acting role.

The anthology will not be adapting any of the stories from the Far Cry games, but instead will adapt an original story filled with a brand-new cast, location, etc. The show will be renewed for multiple seasons, following the games’ format to present a new story with each iteration.
This move raises a few questions, as the franchise lacks a unique trait beyond its survival themes. It is unclear how the showrunners will translate the Far Cry essence into the show with a new cast and story without making it seem like a typical action-survival show.
