Steven Ogg Pitched The Most Jaw Dropping Idea For GTA 6's Opening!

Story Highlight
  • Steven Ogg, the voice actor behind Trevor, has expressed interest in playing him one more time in GTA 6.
  • The voice actor wants Trevor to play a minor role in the sequel in the most bizarre suggested opening scene.
  • This implies that “Death Wish” was the canon ending for GTA 5, where all protagonists live.

It is just months away from GTA 6’s launch. Steven Ogg, the voice actor behind Trevor, has expressed his wish to play the maniac one last time in GTA 6. Steven Ogg wants a Trevor cameo in the game’s early stages in the most bizarre scenario.

Why It Matters: Trevor is arguably the standout protagonist of GTA 5. GTA fans have wished for past protagonists to appear in the sequel. With Trevor’s idea and a potential return to GTA 6, this may be the best fan service Rockstar can ever provide.

In an interview with Screenrant, Steven Ogg had the following idea in mind for Trevor’s return to the GTA franchise:

I wish it would be fun if Trevor appeared in it just to be killed at the beginning

This does imply that Steven Ogg doesn’t want Trevor to return in full capacity, but more so as a cameo. This would work better than Trevor existing as a side character since the raging psychopath would steal away all the spotlight from Lucia and Jason.

Moreover, Steven Ogg’s pitch also suggests that “Death Wish” is the actual canon ending for GTA 5, in which all three protagonists live rather than Michael or Trevor dying.

Trevor has already died in the opening scene of GTA 5 but ended up living and retreating back to Blaine County. While he did survive the fire in GTA 5, the same luck may not shine again for the sequel.

GTA 6 is expected to be released later this year, and if Steven Ogg isn’t hinting at his return but rather pitching an idea, such a return would be impossible. With months away from launch, changing the entire opening scene for the game would be impossible.
