Fallout Will Be Next After Elder Scrolls 6!

Story Highlight
  • Fallout has been doing better than ever after the release of its TV adaptation.
  • Todd Howard has recently confirmed plans to release multiple games for the series.
  • He does not have anything to share about said games for the time being.

Soon after the Fallout TV show was released, it gave a great boost to the franchise, with Fallout 76 reaching over 20 million players.

This adaptation has also been very profitable, as it was suggested that Bethesda made nearly $80 million after the show was released. To continue this success, the developers appear ready to work on future releases for the franchise.

Todd Howard recently said that Bethesda is planning to release more Fallout games.

Why it matters: Bethesda has become one of the slower developers in the industry, releasing one or two titles per console generation. This has created a visible demand for Fallout 5.

During an interview with Variety, Todd Howard was asked multiple questions about the recent Amazon TV show.

The interviewer asked what all this success in the franchise meant for upcoming releases in the universe. Todd stated that he did not have much to share, but the director left fans with a small tease.

We’re in plans for future games in this series, and nothing to talk about right now.

He also stated that Bethesda is constantly planning and looking at its options.

The studio recently launched Starfield and is now busy with The Elder Scrolls 6. However, Todd Howard’s statement suggests that Fallout 5 is almost guaranteed to be the team’s next project after The Elder Scrolls 6.

Fallout
Fallout 5 Is Still Many Years Away

While the next entry in the franchise appears inevitable, it seems to be a few years away.

Not too long ago, the Fallout team stated they needed time to develop great stuff. An insider also suggested that the next game could be launched before 2030. Fortunately, there is still a lot of Fallout content to check out till then.

Whatever the future may hold, it’s a great time to be a fan of this series for now.

Todd Howard is laser-focused on The Elder Scrolls 6 but will probably lead Fallout 5 once the former is released. Till then, fans can try one of the many RPGs in this franchise that are currently brimming with new life.
