According to Deadline, the Former Amazon Studios and Fox Network Group executive Sharon Tal Yaguado has launched a new studio known as Astrid Entertainment. The new game development studio specializes in creating fantastical living settings that encourage social interaction and can be adapted for use in other media, such as film and television.
The studio has already secured a high seven-figure pre-seed investment from investors. Moreover, Astrid’s leadership announcement can be expected in a few months.
Tal Yaguado also said,
“I love developing rich worlds and watching millions of people engage and build communities around them”.
“We are seeing a new generation that wants something different. They enjoy walking into evocative worlds that give them freedom, let them hang out with their friends, explore, discover and create their own stories.”
From the above statement, the newly formed development studio is already working on a multiplayer game. We should note that Tal Yaguado recently served as Head of Genre Drama at Amazon Studios, and she previously worked as a lead executive on The Walking Dead, The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power, and The Boys.
As The Boys is an insanely famous TV series on Amazon Prime Video, it won’t be surprising if the studio is already working on a co-op multiplayer game like Gotham Knights based on The Boys TV series.
The Boys video game is sure to set a different type of experience for the fans, and as many such games have already been released, hopefully, this one will be released too. Who wouldn’t want to experience The Boys’ open-world game and be one of The Boys?
