While little is known about the next Resident Evil title, a reliable leaker appears to confirm a rough release window. According to the leaker, Resident Evil 9 will be released in 2025.

The information comes from Dusk Golem, who has proven to be a reliable source of information about horror games.

According to Dusk Golem, Resident Evil 9 will be announced in 2024. This would mean that fans are still several months away from learning about the game, let alone getting to play it.

Previously, the leaker mentioned that Capcom started Resident Evil 9 development in 2018. This would mean that the next Resident Evil title could have the longest development cycle of the entire franchise.

Additionally, the leak mentions another massive Capcom game will be announced in 2023. This game is expected to be released in 2024, but Dusk Golem did not confirm the franchise.

Recently, Capcom has also hinted at more remakes for the horror franchise. A survey asks players about potential remakes, and the gaming giant is also open to remakes for games like Code Veronica.

With more remakes expected in the near future and another mainline title coming soon, Resident Evil fans have plenty of games to look forward to in the coming years. Resident Evil 8 has already sold over 8 million units, and the next mainline title could perform even better.
