Final RDNA 3 GPU?

Rumor has it that AMD is getting ready to release at least three new GPUs. According to an ECC filing from yesterday, these consist of the Radeon RX 7700, Radeon RX 7800, and Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics cards.

Several trustworthy sources have now informed Benchlife that AMD plans to release the Radeon RX 7600 XT within the last week of January. However, AMD has not yet given thought to the remaining 2 SKUs, including the Radeon RX 7700 and Radeon RX 7800.

Another source points to a date of January 24.

AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT

Currently, there is no information on what kind of specifications the upcoming Radeon RX 7600 XT will feature. However, we can only speculate until more information is provided because even the rumor mill has gone dry.

Positioned in between the current RX 7700 XT and RX 7600, the RX 7600 XT is expected to offer a better alternative compared to other mid-end options on the market. According to earlier speculations, the RX 7600 XT would have 12GB of GDDR6 memory compared to last year’s Radeon RX 6600 XT.

This is definitely a smart decision, considering the reaction Nvidia got with the RTX 4060 8GB variant since gamers now consider 8GB to be the absolute minimum for a modern gaming graphics card.

It’s unclear what powers the RX 7600 XT, although it’s probable AMD will utilize a scaled-down version of Navi 32 GPU with fewer cores. This makes sense because the RX 7600 already has the most stream processors available for that model, thanks to the less potent Navi 33 GPU.

The RX 7600 XT may be the final Radeon 7000 released before AMD’s next-generation graphics cards are released. According to the sources Benchlife cited, there are no non-XT versions of the RX 7800 or 7700.

Furthermore, the Radeon RX 7600 XT will only be available through AIB partners and might offer two different memory configurations. This would probably include a 10 GB and 12 GB model, providing two separate price points for users to choose from.
