Featured Games Like Silent Hill f, 007, and Nioh 3!

Story Highlight
  • The latest PlayStation State of Play featured many highly anticipated titles.
  • As a result, it has garnered almost 3 million views, making it the most viewed State of Play to date.
  • While it has managed to break the records of all State of Plays aired in the past, some fans were left disappointed by the reveals.

PlayStation’s latest State of Play was recently aired and revealed some of the best games. While many fans have considered it to be underwhelming, it featured games like Silent Hill f, Nioh 3, Ghost of Yotei, 007, and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.

So, the State of Play was pretty solid. Due to that, the latest episode managed to secure many views, in fact, becoming the most viewed State of Play ever. The event has accumulated nearly 3 million views.

Why it matters: Despite fans claiming the event wasn’t that good, it featured some solid games, which is exactly why it managed to break all of the previous State of Play’s records.

At the time of writing, the event has managed to accumulate 2.8 million views, which is already more than any of the State of Play managed to get. This makes the event held on June 4th the most viewed one ever (not including any streams other than the SoPs).

This comparison is only between the State of Play. This is because the PlayStation 5 reveal broadcasts and PlayStation showcases from 2021 and 2023 received way more views. That said, it is a pretty significant achievement for the latest event to become the biggest one in its category.

The event wasn’t that big, but it revealed a new look at games like Silent Hill f, which the fandom absolutely loved, a new Marvel fighting game, which also received a positive reception, 007, a highly anticipated title, which is said to be the best reveal right alongside Silent Hill f.

Nioh 3 also appeared during the showcase, which surprised the fandom. Those disappointed were perhaps expecting games like Resident Evil 9 to be revealed, which may appear at the Summer Game Fest.
