- The title is an unannounced 4-person co-op shooter being directed by the Left 4 Dead creator.
- It doesn’t have any further details yet, but it is planned for release on PS5 and PC.
Co-op shooters, if done right, are some of the most popular games among the masses. We’ve had amazing titles in the genre over the years, including Destiny, Killing Floor, Borderlands, and Left 4 Dead.
Sony has announced that it is partnering with Bad Robot Games to produce and publish the studio’s first internally developed co-op title, being developed by the Left 4 Dead director. The game will be available on PS5 and PC.
Why it matters: Left 4 Dead holds a legendary status in the genre, and since its creator is working on the new game, the expectations are already through the roof, with PlayStation funding the project.

Mike Booth is set to return for his next co-op game in a partnership with Sony. Bad Robot Games is a division of a production company owned by renowned director JJ Abrams, so it has many big names associated with it.
So far, not many details have been revealed, except that it will be a 4-player co-op shooter. Studio CEO Anna Sweet expressed her joy at working with Sony and helping them bring their expansive vision to life.

The team has also stated that additional information on the title will be released at a later date. This genre is quite saturated at this point; however, the team working on it looks promising, and we look forward to learning more about it.
