The Grand Game Awards hosted their third annual event in Algeria in 2025 and distributed awards across a variety of categories. These included Best Action Game, Best Indie Game, Best Mobile Game, and more.

This year’s show also introduced the Industry Icon Award, crowning Phil Spencer the victor. Accepting this title, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming thanked the Grand Game Awards and credited the entire Xbox team for this achievement.

He reiterated Xbox’s focus on bringing games to as many people in as many ways as possible. According to the Microsoft Gaming CEO, the team has made real progress towards this goal in 2025.
