The Persona franchise has rapidly gained popularity with the last few entries, and recent titles like Persona 5 have expanded the franchise even further. However, the future looks even brighter for Persona fans.
Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are set to release on modern platforms soon, and Atlus has recently hinted at unannounced titles for 2023. A leaker has claimed that Atlus is also working on a Persona 3 Remake.
The leaker claims that Persona 3 will be remade entirely, featuring visuals on par with Persona 5 while bringing quality-of-life changes based on modern gaming standards. Fans quickly questioned the leak based on the upcoming Persona 3 Portable release.
In response, the leaker stated that Atlus is using the upcoming release to profit from an easy port of the game while they work on the remake simultaneously. Persona 3 Remake might also make questionable cuts to the in-game content, so Persona 3 Portable would allow Atlus to satisfy the classic fans while appealing to new audiences.
However, the insider has not revealed much about the remake. If the leak is accurate, fans can expect more information in the coming months, but the insider has left a lot of questions unanswered.
Persona 3 was initially released in 2006, so a remake would not be too far-fetched to believe. Previously, the insider has been accurate about the Persona games coming to Xbox Game Pass. As such, fans have come to trust his word on the Persona franchise.
But it would be best to take this leak with a grain of salt until official announcements are made. What do you think about a potential remake for Persona 3? Would you be willing to buy the game?
