Josh Sawyer Seems To Be Really Against Manual Save In Video Games

Josh Sawyer on Twitter has recently revealed that Manual saves games was a mistake and he thinks video games shouldn’t have this feature.

This is quite a controversial take as fans actually prefer the luxury to save manually in a video game. In games like Cyberpunk 2077 you can save at any point you would like by just pressing F5. Of course, you won’t be save the game manually during a combat section.

However, such features are preferred by the fandom. Suppose someone has to leave for important work while gaming and is already halfway through the mission. Wouldn’t it be better for the person to have a manual save option instead of leaving their PC/Console turned on for hours or starting the mission from the start?

However, Sawyer thinks that manual saves are the chicken nuggets of gaming but are bad for you and they poison your gaming spirit. While the fandom has taken this take with a funny approach many seem to disagree with Sawyer on this.

Even on NeoGAF a user shared this tweet and generated a poll to ask the players whether this statement is true or false. Unsurprisingly, over 90% of players went with saying it’s false

Manual saves in video doesn’t hurt anybody. You might not even notice its presence in the first place. So, having this feature present in games is actually not a bad thing as those who want to use it can and those who don’t want to should just ignore it.
