The newest Lego game sets its eyes on the entire Star Wars Skywalker storyline, and such is appropriately titled LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. With a release date set for 05 April 2022, fans will have to wait a few more days before they can get their hands on the game. However, a recent leak shows forty minutes of uncut gameplay in the form of a demo. The original leaked video has now been taken down, but many videos with the same gameplay have popped up rapidly. It would not be surprising if this video gets taken down as well, but fans can expect further videos to show up in traditional leaking fashion.

The video starts off showing the nine episodes in the Skywalker Saga and begins the gameplay with the fan-favourite Episode 4 from the Original Trilogy. The demo contains a mix of third-person gunplay and lightsaber combat which is sure to excite fans of the franchise. In addition to the excellent gameplay, crisp audio, and vibrant art style, the early footage also features an appearance from the iconic villain Darth Vader. The 40-minute demo also gives us a small taste of the varied locations of the Star Wars universe that players can expect to explore on launch day.

Reception has been very positive towards the leaked gameplay so far. “I gotta say, the dialogue here is fantastic!” said Malachi Allen in a Youtube comment on the video. The leaked video is full of similar comments hinting at hype for the game being at an all-time high. The game’s release is right around the corner, and if this video is anything to go by, the player base is sure to have a great time with the newest Lego game in the Star Wars franchise.
