- Konami has revealed Silent Hill Townfall with a brand new trailer.
- The game features the series’ signature style of atmospheric horror, combined with first-person melee and shooting gameplay.
- Silent Hill Townfall launches in 2026, with more details coming very soon.
Following Silent Hill 2 Remake and Silent Hill F, it’s safe to say that Konami’s horror series is back as one of the major players in the horror games genre. Following up on these games, it was also said that Silent Hill Townfall would arrive in 2026.
Sure enough, a new trailer for this game has now shown up at Sony’s latest State of Play, and it looks as creepy as ever.
Why it matters: Between Resident Evil and Silent Hill returning with new entries in 2026, horror game fans have never been happier with the state of the genre.
The trailer begins with the atmospheric elements that are core to the Silent Hill franchise, teasing a dark past regarding the protagonist, Simon. Later, it also shows a few combat segments, suggesting that the melee mechanics from Silent Hill F will return in some capacity.
Moreover, it seems Silent Hill Townfall will stick with slow and more methodical combat as opposed to a few other horror titles. One major difference, however, appears to be that of first-person gameplay.
Because Silent Hill Townfall has been shown for the first time, it’s hard to say much about the game from this trailer. However, Konami is set to host a more extensive preview of the title after the State of Play.
As for the release date, Konami has yet to say much, but it has confirmed a 2026 launch for the time being.
What do you think about the first trailer? Are you looking forward to Konami’s next entry for Silent Hill? Let’s discuss in the comments and on the Tech4Gamers Forums.
