Fans, in particular, are excited about the prospect of future remakes. Konami has already expressed interest in re-releasing other Metal Gear Solid titles, and the publisher’s latest survey asks fans to choose which game gets to be next in line.

Interestingly, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is not mentioned in the survey. This is likely due to PlatinumGames’ involvement in the project, which would require collaboration with the studio for a remake.
Anyhow, this survey all but confirms more remakes for the Metal Gear Solid IP.
Konami has also discussed potential original entries for the series, but the team’s future may lie in additional remakes for now if this survey is anything to go by. If the stars line up, the team may have a very bright future ahead.
