Metal Gear Solid's Future Is In Your Hands Now!

Story Highlights
  • Konami’s latest survey points to future Metal Gear Solid remakes.
  • The gaming giant is allowing fans to pick which game they would like to see remade.
  • The same survey also mentions Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 2, which should remaster Metal Gear Solid 4.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake marked the long-anticipated comeback for Konami’s beloved franchise recently. Konami has already sold millions of copies, and despite facing a few criticisms, the publisher is on track to release more Metal Gear Solid titles in the future.

Fans, in particular, are excited about the prospect of future remakes. Konami has already expressed interest in re-releasing other Metal Gear Solid titles, and the publisher’s latest survey asks fans to choose which game gets to be next in line.

Why it matters: Konami has found immediate success with both its latest remakes. The studio will now look toward continuing this momentum moving forward.

Future Metal Gear Solid Remakes Are Almost Guaranteed

Konami’s latest survey explicitly mentions all games from the franchise as prospects for future remakes. This is a clear sign that more remakes are coming, and fans will be glad to know that the publisher is taking fan feedback so seriously.

Among these titles, Metal Gear Solid 4 is likely to be next in line. Konami is expected to re-release this particular title as part of the next Master Collection Volume, also mentioned in the survey, so fans will soon get to play the PS3-exclusive entry of the franchise.

Interestingly, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is not mentioned in the survey. This is likely due to PlatinumGames’ involvement in the project, which would require collaboration with the studio for a remake.

Anyhow, this survey all but confirms more remakes for the Metal Gear Solid IP.
