Story Highlight
  • Death Stranding 2 has officially been released, and fans are loving it.
  • Hideo Kojima has recently revealed that he feared during the pandemic that the studio might never finish this game.
  • However, now that it has been released, Kojima is overwhelmed with emotions.

Death Stranding 2 has been released worldwide, and it seems like fans are thoroughly enjoying the title. There are some who have already played it thanks to the early access, and they are calling it a GOTY contender, which makes sense given it is a game by Hideo Kojima.

Death Stranding 2 received a solid rating from critics, which Kojima may not have appreciated, as he aims to create something new and, of course, unconventional. The legendary auteur recently revealed that he feared never finishing the game and thanked the fans for their support.

Why it matters: Kojima is known for his creativity in video games as he is one of the legendary figures in the industry. His previous title featured a pretty weird plot, so fans always expect him to come up with more bizarre things.

Hideo Kojima Thanks The Fandom For Showing Love To His Recent Game

Kojima recently thanked the fandom on X, formerly known as Twitter, and hopes that everyone enjoys the title. He further stated that there were moments when he truly thought the game might never be finished, and that reaching this point is quite overwhelming for him

During the pandemic, there were moments when I truly felt like we might never finish this game… To have made it to this day is overwhelming.

Fans are also congratulating the auteur for making such a tremendously great game. The pandemic was a rough time for everyone, so it is a good thing to see Kojima making it through the rough times and giving fans a masterpiece

Many fans are also inquiring about the PC port, as they are growing impatient with the game’s current console-only release. As of now, there are no plans for the PC release, but it is expected to be released within a year, as Sony has been focusing on PC ports lately.
