In fact, fans, now more than ever, hope to see PlayStation revisit this series. Sucker Punch itself has expressed interest in a potential return to Infamous, with the Ghost of Yotei director recently commenting on a potential re-release from a third-party team.
Why it matters: Sucker Punch has its hands full with Ghost of Yotei and expanding this IP through the upcoming film. Therefore, outsourcing Infamous would not be such a bad idea.
Speaking to MinnMax, the Ghost of Yotei director recently answered questions regarding his upcoming game and Sucker Punch’s past releases.
On the subject of Infamous, the director was first asked to rank all the games in the series. He ranked the first title as the best, suggesting that it remains his personal favorite all these years later.
When asked whether he would be okay with another studio potentially reviving the series, the director showed optimism and gave the green light.
