GTA 6 Unlikely To Be Released In May 2026, Says Reliable Insider

"I Just Cannot See GTA 6 Releasing In May"

Story Highlight
  • GTA 6 was previously delayed and is currently scheduled to release on May 26, 2026.
  • However, two highly reliable insiders believe the game is unlikely to launch on that date.
  • They argue that, given the massive scale of the project, another delay is very likely.

If GTA 6 hadn’t been delayed, many players would have already experienced it, and the internet would be in chaos by now. However, let’s be honest: the world just isn’t ready for what’s coming. We saw what happened when Hollow Knight Silksong made waves on platforms like Steam; it caused massive traffic spikes and even brief outages.

Now imagine that, but ten times bigger. That’s what GTA 6 is going to do when it finally launches. Officially, the game is scheduled for a May 2026 release, but according to a reliable insider, another delay is likely.

Why it matters: GTA 6 is set to be the biggest game in history. If Rockstar needs more time to ensure fans get the best possible experience, then a delay is absolutely worth it.

Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, a well-known and highly reliable insider with a solid track record when it comes to leaks, recently shared his thoughts on GTA 6’s release date. In a new video, Henderson said he just can’t see the game launching in May 2026, as that date seems unrealistic to him.

To be honest, I don’t think that it is gonna release in May. For some reason I just cannot see GTA 6 releasing in May. You know, all the rumblings and so on just doesn’t seem to suggest it. For me personally, I think we are looking at October.

According to Henderson, a release in October 2026 feels more likely. However, he also made it clear that nothing is set in stone. No one outside of Rockstar truly knows what could happen, and while October makes more sense to him, there’s still a level of uncertainty.

GTA 6 AAAAA Game

It’s also worth noting that another reliable insider, Jason Schreier, who has an almost perfect track record, previously reported that another delay is likely.

Schreier pointed to the massive scale of the game and the precedent set by its earlier delay as strong indicators that fans should be prepared for the release window to shift again.
