PC Fans Want GTA 6 Day One!

Story Highlights
  • Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 6 is skipping the PC platform at launch.
  • Many fans are not surprised since this has been a trend with past games from the studio.
  • Several fans are unhappy, claiming the developers want to hit the community with the double dip.

The official trailer of GTA 6 is now available, packing many details in the new rendition of Vice City. It has already reached over 100 million views and gathered nearly 10 million likes. The first female protagonist, Lucia, is also shown in the trailer.

Additionally, the developers confirmed that the game will not be released on the PC platform at launch. This platform will likely get the game in 2026 or 2027, but fans are not happy with this decision.

Why it matters: There is incredible buzz around GTA 6 at the moment, with gamers from all platforms interested in the game.

Soon after the trailer, fans took to a Reddit thread to discuss the game skipping PCs at release. Some fans were not shocked, as Rockstar has been like this for the longest time. From GTA 4 to Red Dead Redemption 2, the team has always delayed its PC ports.

Therefore, it was easy to predict that GTA 6 would follow this trend. However, this has not stopped other fans from expressing their anger over this decision since more and more people are shifting over to PC as their preferred platform.

Others believe Rockstar hopes people will double dip for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title. A recent analysis supports this conclusion, stating almost half of GTA 5 owners purchased the game more than once.

Meanwhile, some even claim that they will resort to piracy once the game is eventually available on PC as a means of revenge against the developer.

On the other hand, various social media users have admitted that they will shift to a console just for GTA 6 in 2025.

Though nobody knows the exact reason for this strategy from Rockstar, social media users have speculated that this may have something to do with their parent company’s decisions.

Evidently, this announcement has infuriated several PC gamers, with some even claiming that they hate the company for these practices. While we aren’t too happy either, this is something Rockstar fans have always had to deal with. Therefore, the release of GTA 6 will be no different.
