- Take-Two has announced that GTA 6 has once again been delayed.
- It was previously delayed to May 2026, but has now slipped further to November 2026.
- Rockstar wants more time to finish it and polish the game to deliver the best experience.
What gamers feared has become a reality. Take-Two was supposed to release its financial results today, and fans were expecting the worst, which has now materialized into an actual delay yet again for the most anticipated game of all time.
Take-Two has revealed that GTA 6 has now been delayed to November 19, 2026, after previously slipping to May 2026 from its original 2025 release. This has created an uproar among the fans.
Why it matters: There were already rumors floating around that we might see yet another delay, but to the severe disappointment of everyone, it has now been officially announced.

In a statement that came with quarterly results, Take-Two announced that it is giving Rockstar Games additional time to finish the game to deliver the high level of polish that fans expect from the release.
Now, it is understandable that Rockstar would want to launch the best version of the game so it meets expectations. We’ve seen disasters like Cyberpunk 2077’s launch, so the studio wouldn’t want the same to happen with GTA 6.

Nonetheless, the news will certainly disappoint all of the gaming industry and the players who had been waiting for GTA 6 for the longest time. This will also mean that the PC version could now slip to late 2027 or even 2028.
