Finally More VRAM For Nvidia GPUs!

The next Nvidia graphics card based on Blackwell architecture is scheduled for release sometime in 2025. Keeping that in mind, there have been a lot of speculations about what the graphics card manufacturer has to offer in the meantime.

It is expected that Nvidia is planning to launch the ‘Super’ or ‘Ti’ variants for the GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4080. This information initially came from two well-known hardware leakers, who are now joined by a third source, Benchlife.

Therefore, it appears the GeForce RTX 4080 Super is more likely than ever.

Nvidia is known for its last-minute decision changes during a product launch. The company also keeps most of the information hidden from its board partners and only provides data that is relevant at a given time.

But when AIB partners are presented with information on an existing card with more memory, it suggests that we might see a higher-end version of existing graphics cards.

According to the latest report, information regarding the GeForce RTX 4080 Super hints at 20GB memory. Currently, there is no information about the exact title of this graphics card, so it could be called the GeForce RTX 4080 Ti as well.

Since the AD103 GPU with a 256-bit memory bus would not be able to support more memory, Nvidia is expected to use the AD102 GPU with a 320-bit memory bus to accommodate the 20GB of memory.

Additionally, the GeForce RTX 4070 is expected to be among the cards receiving a Super variant. This refresh would add 16GB of memory based on the AD103 GPU. Such changes to the lineup would allow Nvidia to offer better competition to AMD while addressing the criticism of limited VRAM.

It is important to note that nothing has been confirmed so far. If the leaks are to be believed, an announcement could be made by 2024. However, the company’s focus on the AI sector could delay its gaming endeavors as the market pivots toward the demand for more AI products.
