Fallout Game That Fans Really Want Is In The Works!

Story Highlight
  • A trusted insider has hinted at the development of multiple Fallout projects at Bethesda.
  • He states that this includes one project that fans want to see, suggesting Fallout 3 Remastered is being worked on.
  • All projects are still in the early stages of development.

The Fallout franchise gained immense popularity following last year’s successful TV adaptation. Since then, fans have longed for more content related to the franchise, but not much has been said by Bethesda.

Fortunately, an insider reports that multiple new Fallout projects are in development, including one that is very likely to be Fallout 3 Remastered.

Why it matters: Barring Fallout 76, Bethesda has not done much with Fallout despite the excitement for the IP in recent years.

According to VGC journalist Jordan Middler, the multiple projects include one that fans have been wanting for a long time.

There are multiple Fallout projects in development, including the one you’re all wanting.

Because fans have called out for a return to Fallout 3 Remastered for the longest time, it would be reasonable to expect said project to be Fallout Remastered. Interestingly, this is not the first time a remaster of this particular entry has been discussed.

Previously, Fallout 3 Remastered was leaked alongside The Elder Scrolls 4 Remastered. The latter was released earlier this year, so there is valid reason to believe the Fallout IP will receive similar treatment.

Adding to the information, the journalist suggests that these projects are still in early development, so fans may have to wait a while before official news is released from Bethesda itself.

Fans Have Been Rallying For A Fallout 3 Remaster For A While

Bethesda is currently working on The Elder Scrolls 6, so the studio is likely working with other teams on the potential remaster.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Remastered was developed by Virtuos, so a similar studio with experience working on third-party partnerships may be involved in bringing the classic Fallout title to life.
