Iconic Voice Actor Is No Longer With Us!

Lance Reddick lent his voice to games like PlayStation’s Horizon Forbidden West and Destiny 2. The famous voice actor passed away yesterday, and the entire industry has come forward to mourn the loss.

Following the news, the Destiny 2 community gathered around Commander Zavala, who Lance Reddick voiced. Several players are currently paying their respects to the late voice actor.

Destiny fans on Twitter have shared their fondest memories of Commander Zavala, and many have even discussed potential armor sets to continue Lance Reddick’s incredible legacy.

The Destiny developer joined the community and remembered the voice actor with a heartfelt message. Bungie stated:

“To say that he will be missed is a profound statement, yet no less true.”

Besides his part in various games, Lance Reddick was involved in movies like John Wick. Since his acting skills extended to multiple industries and franchises, fans and colleagues worldwide have been heartbroken at the news.

The actor passed away on Friday. According to his publicist, he was only 60 years old and died from natural causes.

After learning about the tragic news, Horizon developer Guerilla Games shared a message. They stated:

“We were deeply honored to work with you. You will be so incredibly missed.”

Not too long ago, Lance Reddick teased his return to the role of Sylens in Horizon Forbidden West. This led to excitement about a potential DLC later confirmed as Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores.

Nobody could have predicted the unfortunate news from Friday and that this would be the last time Lance Reddick would be featured in the Horizon franchise.

Despite the loss, Destiny players have not forgotten the iconic voice actor, and he will continue to be an integral part of the game as he inspires new and old Guardians to protect the universe.
