Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has become a record-breaking title despite being on the market for less than one year. Setting a record for the most nominations at The Game Awards, the title is currently the frontrunner for winning Game of the Year next month.
Ahead of this show, Sandfall Interactive’s first RPG has also won Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards 2025. Moreover, the game has successfully won in every nominated category at this event.
Why it matters: Sandfall Interactive made its debut with this title, and many were convinced the team had made history. It seems these thoughts have been validated after the recent victories at various award shows.
Besides winning Ultimate Game of the Year, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 currently has over six other victories at the event. The RPG won the following awards in total:
