CDPR Isn’t Done With Cyberpunk 2077, More Future Updates Teased In-Game

Expect Update 2.4 To Add Cut-Content!

Story Highlight
  • CDPR has teased new updates for Cyberpunk 2077 in-game.
  • Update 2.4 could introduce Casinos to the game, one of the most requested pieces of cut content from the original release.
  • The previous update was handled by Virtuous Games, who are expected to lead development on future updates as well.

From being the most hated to the most loved RPG in just a matter of 2 years, Cyberpunk 2077’s redemption journey is no secret. CDPR has done a commendable job in creating a futuristic work, and is still pushing out updates for the game despite the previous claim that they were done with the project.

Update 2.3 was released recently and added new vehicles, a cab feature, among other changes. However, version 2.3 isn’t what we’ll see as the last of Cyberpunk 2077, with the latest update teases more new features to come.

Why it matters: Cyberpunk 2 may still be years away, and in the meanwhile, these updates will keep the game freshened and retain players to keep exploring Night City.

On X, a player spotted casino ads throughout Night City and Dogtown after the latest update. For those unfamiliar, Casinos were cut from the final version of Cyberpunk 2077 for unknown reasons.

Five years later, this might be high time to add the most requested piece of cut content finally. The next update might add North Oak Casino and Country Club, which are visible outside of the map but are inaccessible.

However, the same user spotted a Reddit post revealing that the upcoming update will add an entirely new casino called Pacifica Casino, with relevant files already being added to the game.

Cyberpunk 2 Isn’t Expected Until 2029 At The Least

Virtuous Games is said to have worked on the 2.3 update, so the same studio is expected to handle future updates. Currently, CDPR is entirely focused on Witcher 4, with some employees focused on Cyberpunk 2, which is currently in pre-production.
