The anticipation for Assassin’s Creed Infinity, a new live-service game in the Assassin’s Creed series being developed by Ubisoft, has been insane ever since it was announced. Although not much information has been revealed about the game, what we do know so far seems exciting, and many fans are looking forward to it.
On June 14, 2022, Ubisoft held a live stream to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed video game series. While Ubisoft did not reveal any information during that live stream, they did indicate that there would be a special Assassin’s Creed event somewhere in September 2022. Ubisoft stated;
“The team hopes the community enjoys the anniversary and invites all fans to join us this September to unveil the future of Assassin’s Creed during a very special event.”
It now appears that we have additional information about Assassin’s Creed Infinity after a well-known industry insider, Jeff Grub, recently disclosed on Giant Bomb that Ubisoft might reveal one of the settings for Assassin’s Creed Infinity next month, and that it will be a “very cool” setting. It is anticipated that this will be made public at the Special Assassin’s Creed event.
Jeff Grub had previously revealed that the game will be set in Asia and a portion of Assassin’s Creed Infinity would be set in Japan, which is reportedly named ‘Project Red’, and you would be able to play as a Ninja.
The release date of the Assassin’s Creed Infinity is currently unknown, it is quite certain that it won’t be happening soon. The next game in the series is Assassin’s Creed Rift, which is expected to release in May or June of 2023.
Even though this rumor hasn’t been confirmed yet, Jeff Grub has a good track record of leaking information, so we hope it’s real. The game so far looks sounds very exciting, and it also appears that Assassin’s Creed Infinity will finally answer fans’ long-standing desire for an Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan.
