Ubisoft has recently concluded their showcase for the future of the franchise. Many exciting announcements have been made, and the developer has revealed brand new details on the future of Assassin’s Creed.

The French giant has now revealed the sales numbers for their most successful franchise. The Assassin’s Creed franchise has now sold over 200 million games

Assassin’s Creed’s popularity comes as no surprise. However, the 200 million figure marks a monumental achievement for Ubisoft. The developer has been known to provide a variety of experiences with their flagship titles, leading to the impressive sales figures.

The franchise has seen multiple releases on various consoles. The Assassin’s Creed games have a huge presence on platforms like PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, Ps4, Nintendo Switch and more. Many of the games have been remastered, and recent releases have seen enhancements for the next generation consoles.

A number of the games are also included in the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has also been added to Xbox Game Pass recently. All of this has likely played a huge part in the franchise’ popularity. 

Additionally, Ubisoft has just pulled the curtains on the future of the franchise. Several new Assassin’s Creed projects have been announced. The rumored Assassin’s Creed Infinity has also been revealed as a hub that ties all the games together. In total, Ubisoft is working on five different games for the franchise

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was the highlight of the show, showcasing a more traditional take on the series. The upcoming title will focus on Basim’s journey in Baghdad, as he becomes a Master Assassin.

Ubisoft has revealed a lot of information for the 15th anniversary of the franchise. The French developer has shown impressive results with their biggest franchise, going beyond all expectations. 

With multiple titles being worked on, new settings to explore, and more variety than ever before, the future is looking extremely promising for the franchise.
