- Arc Raiders has sold over 1.5 million units on Steam, as per Gamalytic.
- The title has brought in nearly $60 million in revenue so far.
- These numbers don’t include sales on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, which likely increase the total.
Arc Raiders has taken the world by storm since its launch, amassing almost 200k concurrent players in its open Beta alone and surpassing that number with its highly acclaimed full release.
Embark’s extraction shooter has appeased players of the genre and taken fan service to another level by refunding items players have lost to cheaters. This attention to detail is also reflected in the game’s success on Steam.
Why it matters: An extraction shooter being such a big hit in a very saturated shooting genre is a much-needed win for the industry, as the medium lacks variety.

According to analysis firm Gamalytic, Arc Raiders has sold over 1.5 million copies on Steam alone. According to estimates on the website, the extraction shooter has generated $57.8 million in revenue since its launch just three days ago.
For sure, this does compare favorably to titles like Battlefield 6, which has sold over 8 million copies on Steam and raked in $500 million, according to Gamalytic. But, for a rather niche side of the shooting genre, Arc Raiders is pulling more than its weight.
In addition, the title continues to reach new concurrent player peaks on Steam, with over 300k players today, leading to the introduction of a queue due to the vast number of players.
Arc Raiders is also not going to follow some of the traditions that franchises like Call of Duty have made popular. The Embark title will not include any absurd or weird skins and crossovers, instead focusing on the gameplay.

With Marathon also set to launch next year, Arc Raiders will face some competition. However, Embark is looking forward to this challenge, as they have beaten out the Sony live-service title before, during the playtests.
