Even though Cyber Monday and Black Friday deals are over for the AMD Ryzen 7000 series chips, the prices are still the same. AMD has now changed the banner of its official website with a new ‘Holiday Deals’ slogan, as spotted by foreign media Videocardz.
It seems like AMD is looking to extend its deals on the Ryzen 7000 series processors till the holiday shopping season.
AMD decided to slash prices on its Ryzen 7000 series last month, where countries like China saw a price slash of up to 20%, followed by other international markets. The discounts from AMD on the Ryzen 7000 series still stand where the top-of-the-line chip Ryzen 9 7950X saw a price drop as low as $550.
Furthermore, the Ryzen 5 7600X and the Ryzen 7 7700X are now available for $250 and $350, respectively, while the Ryzen 9 7900X can be found for $440. Aside from the new logo and discounted price on the AMD Ryzen 7000 chips, the company also has newly redesigned packaging with bold accents that makes it attractive compared to the old packaging.
AMD is trying harder to get back into the competition after Intel’s new strategy to cut down on the prices for its 12th gen lineup, making Intel’s offering look like a bargain compared to AMD. This was because of the high entry cost of the AM5 platform. But the red team is now trying to address it by offering discounts and launching its mid-range motherboard based on the B650 chipset. Combined, AMD is now back on its spot for being the value platform.
Whether you go team red or team blue this year, both have strong platforms for gaming and productivity, but if you are looking for platform support in the long run, then AMD should be your choice for its platform longevity.
