- Forza Horizon 6 has come under fire for potentially using AI artwork.
- Many fans suspect a specific graffiti artwork of being AI-generated due to odd-looking colors.
- Microsoft has been pushing the use of AI tools in all its studios, so fans’ suspicions cannot be ruled out immediately.
Playground Games finally shared a slew of details on Forza Horizon 6 and Fable earlier today, confirming a May launch date for its latest arcade racing title. In general, fans are extremely happy with everything shown regarding the racing title so far.
However, some have also found one particular artwork suspicious. According to fans, Forza Horizon 6 might be using AI-generated art.
Why it matters: The use of generative AI during game development has been a controversial subject recently, with many gamers speaking out against the technology.

Many fans currently appear to be convinced that Forza Horizon 6 features at least one instance of AI-generated art. The suspicions come from a particular piece of graffiti art featured in the recently shown footage.
As users point out, the oversaturated colors and odd-looking gears strongly point to the usage of AI. Moreover, many believe the image stands out in an uncanny way typical of images created by artificial intelligence.
It should be noted that Microsoft is among the companies heavily pushing generative AI technology. Therefore, it does not sound too unrealistic that one of its flagship IPs would make use of artificial intelligence, especially for background imagery.

Similar discussions exist on platforms like Twitter, but not everyone is convinced of the graffiti being AI-generated.
Some fans say the image is too low resolution to make any real conclusions, and others believe it may just be an odd oversight in an otherwise exceptional-looking game.
What do you think about this artwork? Do you think Forza Horizon 6 used generative AI during development? Let’s discuss in the comments and on the Tech4Gamers Forums.
