Potentially Includes Stat Altering Outfits!

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will finally be released on October 12, and Ubisoft’s massive fandom is patiently waiting for the latest entry.

With the nearing release date, Ubisoft has already revealed several pieces of information. This includes gameplay videos, developer interviews, and more. Much of the new information looks promising, but a recent leak may be concerning.

Following a rating from Germany, a recent leak has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature microtransaction packs.

Why it matters: Microtransactions are controversial in the gaming industry. With the growing influence of battle passes and live service games, many are growing weary of this trend.

The leak comes from Jonathan, who has already leaked accurate information about Assassin’s Creed Mirage in the past.

As seen above, Ubisoft appears to be selling the Fire Demon Pack. This will likely be a cosmetic microtransaction, allowing players to customize Basim’s appearance through in-game purchases.

In the past, microtransactions have been unpopular among Assassin’s Creed fans. The RPG trilogy drew criticism from many users for the plethora of in-game purchases for XP boosts and more.

While fans are yet to see the full extent of Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s microtransactions, fans are already furious. Many have claimed that this should not be surprising from Ubisoft, while others are disappointed in Ubisoft’s approach.

A Reddit user has also pointed out that certain outfits in the game will provide unique advantages. Therefore, the purchasable skins may include their own set of benefits not attainable in the base game.

This would add an element of unfairness to the microtransaction system, but this remains to be seen.

Aside from microtransactions, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is mostly different from the recent RPG trilogy. Gameplay footage has highlighted stealth and classic elements

Moreover, the game will include a nostalgic blue filter, similar to the first game. Ubisoft will also offer a more condensed experience, with the developers hinting at a playtime of around 20 hours.
