The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum Story Will Take Around 20 Hours To Beat

Plenty of Time To Enjoy The Game!

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was initially announced over 4 years ago. Following a series of long delays, the game is releasing later this month.

As we enter the month of May, the developers have finally talked and revealed more about the game. Speaking to Gamingbolt, the producer of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, Harald Riegler, has confirmed that players will require about 20 hours to beat the game.

Why it matters: With recent releases, players have come to expect more value for the $60 spent on games. As such, many games are becoming longer, and it looks like Daedalic Entertainment will not disappoint either.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

During the interview, Harald Riegler said that fans who take their time with games and enjoy the story while listening to the dialogues will require around 20 hours to complete it. He said:

A relaxed playthrough of the game with exploration of the beautifully crafted environments and listening to dialogues will take around 20 hours.

He further stated that experienced gaming fans might end up finishing it sooner, but the producer advises that fans should enjoy the game’s atmosphere and play it relaxed throughout.

Unlike many modern games, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is not open-world, and the developer has taken a linear approach to the title. Therefore, the 20-hour length could also allow for more replayability, further adding to the game’s overall playtime.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is mainly focused on stealth gameplay, allowing players to utilize the character’s unique abilities to engage in combat quietly. Players can also traverse the levels by climbing walls, sneaking through tight areas, and more.

The title is coming out on May 25 on nearly every console and PC. It will also utilize features like ray tracing found in current-gen consoles and modern PC graphics cards. How excited are you for the game? Do you think the 20-hour length is justified? Please tell us in the comments.
