Nvidia Is Making Room For The RTX 5070!

Story Highlight
  • As per a recent report, it seems like Nvidia has released the last batch of RTX 4070.
  • The tech giant seems to be making space for its latest RTX 5070.
  • The comapny’s CEO has made bold claims like the RTX 4070 will have similar performance to 4090 so a lot of users are likely to upgrade.

Nvidia recently announced the RTX 50 series which has been met with a lot of criticism. The tech giant this time has focused more on DLSS rather than the hardware. That is the main criticism from the fandom as they believe the upscaler will provide fake frames and resolution which would never be the same as native.

While they have a point Nvidia has improved its AI technology way too much and it is totally focusing on the 50 series now. Another proof of that has appeared as the tech giant is cutting supply for RTX 4070 in late January.

Why it matters: Nvidia is on track to become the world’s most valuable company. It can be obtained and keep that position with the help of RTX 50 series cards so it only makes sense for the company to stop the production of its previous products.

Nvidia May Cut Supply Permanently For The GeForce RTX 4070 This Month

As per the Chinese Board Channels forum, the RTX 4070 will not be available officially from Nvidia by the end of January 2025. The forum further states that the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti are expected to remain in the stock but as Nvidia’s first quarter starts in February these two cards will enter their final stock as well.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 and above models are expected to be completely sold out in January. As of February, only the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 series are expected to remain in stock.

So, if this report is true once the 4070 is sold out Nvidia won’t be manufacturing it again. This makes total sense as the company has just announced its new lineup of cards. The company’s CEO also made a pretty bold statement regarding the RTX 5070.

RTX 5070 Will Offer Similar Performance To RTX 4090

He said this card would be similar to the RTX 4090 and only cost $549. The RTX 4070 is also priced around a similar price and even higher. So, it would be a no-brainer for many to upgrade the card, meaning there won’t be any point in keeping the 4070 in stock.

It is only a matter of time before the rest of the RTX 40 series goes out of stock. What do you think about this latest report? Do you think the RTX 5070 is a worthy successor to the 4070?
