- Starfield’s long-rumored PS5 port is reportedly releasing next month on April 7.
- It will launch with 2 editions: A Standard at €49.99, and a Premium at €69.99.
- The pre-orders are expected to go live this month, possibly from March 17.
As Xbox continues with its multiplatform approach despite the change in leadership, the next game headed to PS5 is Starfield. After months of rumors, the port appears to be ready, and the launch is reportedly closer than ever.
A reliable leaker has revealed that Starfield is launching on PS5 on April 7. It will launch with a Standard and Premium version, but unlike its Xbox release, the more expensive version won’t grant any early access.
Why it matters: A few years ago, no one would’ve expected Microsoft to launch its flagship titles on Team Blue. While it was mostly disappointing, Starfield was being positioned as the next big thing from Bethesda.

This comes via Billbil-kun, who has always been spot on with their leaks. Starfield’s PS5 port is now just over a month away from launch. Interestingly, the standard variant will be priced at €49.99 / £44.99.
This suggests that it could launch at $49.99, which is the same price Avowed launched on PS5. This seems to be Xbox’s strategy for launching games on PS5: discounting them from their original $69.99 price.

Anyways, this could be Starfield’s last opportunity to make an impact. Todd Howard teased that it’ll add new content, but it won’t be a complete overhaul like Cyberpunk’s 2.0 update, so expectations need to be managed.
