The PS Plus subscription has changed significantly over the last three years. Divided into three tiers, this service is now more than just a gateway to online multiplayer on the PS4 and PS5, making it quite valuable to users of Sony’s gaming platform.
However, the subscription has also received criticism for price hikes. In fact, Sony has revised pricing multiple times over the last few years, and it seems that prices will continue to shift moving forward.

Speaking on PS Plus, PlayStation CEO Hideaki Nishino described the service as ever-growing. He stated that nearly 40% of the total user base has opted for the more expensive “Extra” or “Premium” tiers.
