The Silent Hill franchise made a big comeback with 2024’s Silent Hill 2 Remake, which many people claim is even better than the original. Since then, Konami has set its sights on the future of the series, and it is now committed to it.

This year, Konami launched Silent Hill f, which also had a very decent reception. Capitalizing on the success, the series producer says that they aim to launch one Silent Hill title every year, while keeping the quality intact.

Why it matters: The series saw a big hiatus after 2012, during which fans demanded Konami to bring it back, and they finally had their calls answered when the company announced a much-awaited comeback.

The latter is expected to come out early in 2026, whereas the Silent Hill 1 Remake, in the works at Bloober Team, is expected sometime in 2027. Moreover, the team also states they want to innovate with every single release.

Fans will be delighted to see the series getting the treatment that they wanted. The Silent Hill 2 Remake has sold 2.5 million units, and if Konami keeps on getting it right, the series could evolve well beyond its legendary status.
