Recently, Take two released their fiscal year report for 2022. This report contained many new pieces of information. According to the financial report, Red Dead Redemption has now secured its place among the Top 10 best-selling games of all time.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has outsold Wii Fit & Terraria, now becoming the world’s 9th most sold video game to date. It was originally the 11th most sold title to date, now hitting the top ten’s list!

Rockstar insider Ben pointed out on Twitter that Rockstar’s latest game is now the 9th best-selling game of all time. The game has now sold over 44 million copies worldwide and has managed to outsell Wii Fit and Terraria to earn this spot.
Furthermore, Red Dead Redemption 2 is also the newest released game in the top 10 list. Many of the games on the list are several years old at this point which makes this achievement even more impressive. While Red Dead Redemption is by no means a small name, it pales in comparison to the legacy of franchises like Mario and Pokémon. Despite all odds, the game has still managed to take its place among these giants.
The game continues to do well and Take-Two has also confirmed continued support for the game’s online aspect. The huge sales figures have proven Red Dead Redemption 2’s popularity, and the future is looking bright for the game. With a current generation console patch rumored to be in the works, it seems like Rockstar intends to capitalize on this popularity, and fans of the franchise will have a lot to look forward to in the near future.
