- RTX 50 series GPUs are now selling below their suggested retail price, unlike their initial launch, when they were overpriced and hard to find.
- The RTX 5070 is available for less than its official price at multiple US retailers.
- However, other models like the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 are still selling at their standard recommended price.
When the RTX 50 series GPUs were launched, they initially disappointed many, but sales remained strong nonetheless. Even though these GPUs have better availability, we can still see several 50 series GPUs below the MSRP right now.
Previously, the RTX 50s were not only pricey but they were also overpriced in the first few weeks of introduction, and the RTX 5090 took months to become widely available in retailers.
This was not limited to the high-end RTX 5090 and RTX 5080; when the mid-range RTX 5060 Ti was released, prices were also raised owing to tariffs, and NVIDIA indicated that there was nothing they could do.
Currently, multiple US retailers, including Best Buy, Newegg, Walmart, and Amazon, are selling the RTX 5070 for less than its MSRP.

The first one on the discounted 50 series GPUs list is the ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 SFF, which costs $523, a $26 discount from the $549 suggested retail price. That specific model is no longer available; however, Newegg has the ASUS PRIME RTX 5070 for $529 (open box). The PNY RTX 5070 OC is the most affordable option.
The refurbished version costs $489.99. If you want the cheapest option without being reconditioned or open-box, you must pay the MSRP of $549. Other graphics cards, such as the RTX 5070 Ti, can be bought for $749 at Best Buy, and the RTX 5080 for $999 on Amazon, meaning they are essentially sold at their recommended price.
If you want the best 1080p gaming performance, go with the RTX 5060 or RTX 5060 Ti GPUs. Both are excellent choices for 1080p extreme, but the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB will also perform admirably at 1440p. And if you want genuine 1440p gaming performance, try the GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti.
