Nvidia Plans RTX 50 Super Lineup Less Than 1 Year After Original 50-Series Launch!

Story Highlight
  • Nvidia is planning new RTX 50 Super graphics cards with significantly more VRAM.
  • This lineup consists of the RTX 5070 Super, RTX 5070 Ti Super, and RTX 5080 Super and was expected to launch next year.
  • A new report reveals that Nvidia has now decided on a Q4 2025 launch window for all three GPUs.

Nvidia’s RTX 50 lineup is half a year old now, but it does not have the best reputation. Between problems like low VRAM, driver failures, and more, much of the excitement regarding the latest graphics card family has been hampered since its release.

Nvidia appears to have a plan in place to address at least one of the persistent issues with the Blackwell gaming series. Previous rumors of the RTX 50 Super series confirmed additional VRAM for Nvidia GPUs, and a new report now outlines a Fall 2025 launch for these GPUs.

Why it matters: Games are now more VRAM-intensive than ever, and even AMD is set to ditch 8GB graphics cards moving forward.

Nvidia Is Finally Addressing Its VRAM Problem With The Super Series

A direct report from TweakTown states that Team Green is targeting a Holiday or Q4 2025 launch for the new GPUs. This is interesting since previous speculations had led many to believe that the new graphics cards would arrive in 2026 at the earliest.

Although this would undoubtedly be a shift away from past releases of Super lineups, Nvidia also followed a different approach with its standard RTX 50 offerings this year. All the Blackwell gaming products, including the RTX 5050, were released within six months compared to past generations that were more spread out.

The RTX 40 Super series also launched well over a year after the RTX 4090’s initial debut. Anyhow, this early release could be good news for those in need of an upgrade for their gaming PCs.

For context, the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5080 are set to receive Super models. VRAM will be the key selling point for all the Super variants, with past leaks indicating as much as 50% more VRAM for each Blackwell gaming graphics card.

The RTX 5070 Super is expected to feature 16GB of memory, while the RTX 5070 Ti and 5080 Super are expected to receive 24GB of memory. This will make the latest Super models significantly more future-proof than Nvidia’s offerings from the last five years, excluding those belonging to the 90-tier GPUs.
