In a bold move, Nvidia may have slashed prices on its four best graphics cards from the last generation.
Consumers can take advantage of this discount on major US retailers like Amazon and Newegg, saving up to 25% on selected cards. MSI has slashed prices for products like the GeForce RTX 3050, GeForce RTX 3060, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, and GeForce RTX 3070.
It has been a while since we saw the current generation GeForce RTX 40 series cards launch. The new 40 series from Nvidia have somewhat ok sales though they are not great compared to last year when the demand exceeded supply.
Nvidia has also reportedly stopped the production of some of the GeForce RTX 40 series cards so retailers can get rid of their current stock before moving forward.
The GeForce RTX 3070 was launched back in 2020 and was priced at $499. However, the MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 2X 8GB OC LHR till now was retailing for $549 but has now dropped to $450 on Newegg.
On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is also selling below MSRP now. The MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Ventus 2X 8GD6X OC is now available for just $305. However, users will need to take advantage of the promo code on Newegg, which will slash $60 off the regular price of $365.
This variant comes equipped with the latest GDDR6X memory and might result in extra performance depending on the game. The official MSRP of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was $399 at launch.
Consumers looking for an ITX card can save money on the MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Aero ITX 12G OC. The card is now selling for $280 with 12GB of GDDR6 memory. The Aero ITX version of the GeForce RTX 3060 12GB is in stock on Newegg.
On the other hand, the 8GB version of MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2x 8G OC now retails for $260. The GeForce RTX 3050, the cheapest card among the bunch, saw a price drop of $219 on Newegg from its retail price of $280.
Sadly, the card is not in stock anymore. Hopefully, it will be available for a similar price soon enough. Only MSI is currently offering price cuts on its entry-level model for the GeForce RTX 30 series.
Other AIB partners like Asus, Gigabyte, or Zotac have not announced similar price drops yet. However, it likely will not be long before retailers reduce the price of all custom models of the GeForce RTX 30 series to move inventory.
