Story Highlight
  • As per a new report, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is arriving on PS5 consoles in November.
  • The PS5 launch will be a brand-new edition of the game.
  • Expect an announcement soon, possibly at The Game Awards or the rumored PlayStation Showcase.

The era of exclusivity has almost ended with Microsoft taking the first step in bringing its first-party catalog onto rival platforms, such as the PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. However, there are still a few core Xbox franchises that remain bound to the platform, though their exclusivity may eventually end.

As such, one leak has suggested another major Xbox exclusive announced for PlayStation. Specifically, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is releasing for the PS5 consoles in November.

Why it matters: All Xbox games are gradually being ported to PS5 consoles. While Halo was anticipated to be the first PlayStation arrival, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s launch on Team Blue was unexpected.

Reported by PPE, one leaker who goes by the name of ‘Graczdari’ has reached out to the publication with the information that a brand-new edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will arrive on PS5 soon.

It’s unclear what this new edition includes, but expect a few tweaks and enhancements specifically for the PS5 consoles

The Game Awards are set to premiere next week alongside a possible PlayStation event around the same time frame. If a PS5 port of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is indeed in development, expect an announcement then.

Previously, another reputable leaker, NateTheHate, stated that the simulator would land on PS5 consoles this year, which further solidifies this claim.

The report further states that the simulator will be available in boxes, implying a physical release. However, as is typical for Microsoft-published games, physical copies may be limited.

Aside from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, a Halo Combat Evolved Remake is also allegedly under development, which would bring the franchise to PlayStation for the first time.
