Unreal Engine 5 Could Cause Some Trouble!

Story Highlight
  • Mafia: The Old Country PC requirements are now out, and they reveal solid optimisation.
  •  However, as the game is developed via Unreal Engine 5, there could be some performance issues on launch.
  • The title is set to launch this month on 8th on PS5, Xbox Series S|X and PC.

Mafia: The Old Country is set to release this month, and the hype is currently at an all-time high. The developer has learned a lot from the release of Mafia 3 and won’t repeat the same mistake. That is one of the main reasons why the upcoming Mafia doesn’t feature an open world

Still, the optimisation can make or break a game, so fans have been wondering how this one will perform on launch. The PC requirements are already out, which points to a solid, optimised port

Why it matters: For fans to pre-order a game now, they mostly look for the optimisation, as it matters a lot. If a game isn’t optimised thoroughly, it ruins the experience.

Mafia The Old Country PC Requirements
Mafia: The Old Country PC Requirements Are Officially Out

The minimum requirements to play the game require you to have at least 16GB RAM, an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x/Intel Core I7-9700K processor paired with AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT/Nvidia RTX 2070. If you are going to use a different card, then keep in mind that 8GB V-Ram is necessary

So, you would need the specs mentioned above to be able to play the game on 1080P medium settings. To play the game at 2K high settings with quality upscaling, you would need RX 6950 XT/RTX 3080 Ti paired with Ryzen 7 5800X/ I7-12700K, 32GB RAM, and, if you want to use another graphics card, the required V-RAM is 12GB.

It should be noted that the official requirements don’t specify the hardware required to play the game at native 4K. You can play the game at 4K, but it will be upscaled from what is known as 3K or 2.8K resolution.

So, to play the game at Epic preset, you would need Ryzen 7 9700X/I7-14700K paired with RX 9070/ RTX 400 Ti and 32 GB RAM.

With the looks of it, the game seems pretty optimised for the PC, but the game is developed via Unreal Engine 5, so it may not have the ideal performance.
