Lords of the Fallen 2 Won't Skip Fan-Service!

Story Highlight
  • The Lords of the Fallen 2 CEO has recently confirmed that the game will feature bold character designs.
  • The CEO agrees with the fact that games should be fun and not necessarily politically correct.
  • He also shared that the sequel will be a proper Souls-like and will receive uncut gameplay footage very soon.

Lords of the Fallen 2 was shown off to the world with a new trailer last week. Following a solid reboot of the series with 2023’s Lords of the Fallen, CI Games and Hexworks have seen plenty of success and positivity.

At the same time, the team has been at the center of controversies due to the CEO’s stance on DEI and political correctness. In a recent statement on Twitter, he once again addressed the subject. The CEO also confirmed that Lords of the Fallen 2 would feature good-looking female characters.

Why it matters: Many gamers have criticized modern character designs in recent years. However, titles like Stellar Blade have been praised for featuring bolder designs.

Discussing his role on Twitter, CEO Marek Tyminski noted that his philosophies on political correctness were not necessarily reflected in Lords of the Fallen at launch due to CI Games’ influence on developer Hexworks.

He revealed that he became more involved in development during 2024, the same time when the studio adopted an anti-DEI stance. When asked about the female characters in Lords of the Fallen 2 being attractive, the CEO simply responded with a ‘Yes.’

He also agreed with a statement saying games should be fun and not politically correct. As mentioned earlier, this is far from the first time Marek Tyminski has shared his thoughts on DEI in the industry.

In the past, he has stated that designing games for modern audiences is a path to destruction.

Currently, Lords of the Fallen 2 is set to launch as an Epic Games exclusive next year. According to the CEO, this sequel will be a proper Souls-like and aim to push the series forward.
