Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has left its mark on the RPG genre in a major way. Warhorse Studios has also confirmed intentions to continue being a major force in the genre moving forward, with its latest success propelling the studio to new heights.
In fact, the studio’s latest release continues to reach new sales milestones one after another. As per the developer, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has now sold 4 million units.
Why it matters: The original Kingdom Come Deliverance sold 5 million copies in around 4 years. Therefore, the sequel is selling at an exponentially faster rate, highlighting the newfound success of the series.

Announcing the milestone on Twitter, Warhorse Studios has thanked the fans for their continued support. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 made its debut in February, so the game has now achieved 4 million sales in less than 10 months of its release.
The RPG also returned to Steam’s best-sellers list recently, thanks to a 40% discount. At the time of writing, the RPG is just behind big upcoming releases like Black Ops 7, falling at the 11th position on Steam’s overall list.
Moreover, it boasts an active concurrent player count of around 32K players. Needless to say, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 remains extremely popular despite being one of the first few big releases of the year.

Heading into December 2025, many are counting on Warhorse Studios’ latest release to bag Game of the Year.
Despite competition from titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Hollow Knight Silksong, many believe Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 deserves the honor of being dubbed Game of the Year.
