Will Launch on 12 August!

Story Highlight
  • Hellblade 2, a former Xbox exclusive title, will be launched on the rival platform on 12 August.
  • Ahead of a launch, a 44-minute gameplay was released, showcasing how the game would run at 4K 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro.
  • It looks absolutely stunning, feels smooth, and crisper than ever.

Hellblade 2, launched as an Xbox exclusive title, is finally making its way to PlayStation 5 in just a few days. The game received a positive reception from critics on launch, but there was one primary concern: it was locked to 30 FPS.

The game was launched last year, but this generation, the fandom isn’t fond of games being 30 FPS, as they should be at the very least 60 FPS. Now, an enhanced version of the title is set to release for both platforms on 12 August. Ahead of launch, Hellblade 2 looks gorgeous on the PS5 Pro running at 4K 60 FPS.

Why it matters: Hellblade 2 features stunning visuals, so being able to get 60 FPS on a higher resolution would make the game stand out much more.

IGN has released a 44-minute gameplay of Hellblade on the PS5 Pro, running at 4K 60 FPS. Do note that the game isn’t running at the native 4k resolution. Instead, it is being run via the performance mode for the best experience

On the console, thanks to the enhanced version, the game looks better than ever, and the environment is as scary as it can get. It feels even smoother now, and combat starting at 18:09 feels crisper, thanks to the 60 FPS.

Players have known about the combat’s lack of appeal since its original Xbox release. Anyhow, the 44-minute footage mainly features the first chapter and just the beginning of the second one.

Hellblade 2 Visual Excellence
Hellblade 2 Enhanced Version Will Offer 4K 60 FPS experience on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PS5 Pro.

It is also worth noting that the game’s enhanced version is also releasing on Xbox Series S and X consoles. The Series X will be able to run at 4K 60 FPS, the same as the PS5 Pro.
