The second GTA 6 trailer has been released, creating unprecedented excitement among gamers. In addition to multiple story details and screenshots, the trailer also teases a few of the gameplay elements fans can expect in Rockstar Games’ upcoming title.

Among these systems, it seems two mechanics from the fan-favorite GTA San Andreas are set to return as the trailer teases weight systems and fighting styles.

Why it matters: Both mechanics were fairly popular in GTA San Andreas but have yet to return in any of the modern Grand Theft Auto titles.

Jason Appears To Sport Different Physiques In GTA 6

As seen in the GTA 6 trailer, Jason looks significantly more muscular than he did in the previous footage. Although this could be an artistic change from Rockstar Games, the protagonist is later shown working out at an outdoor gym.

What makes this interesting is that leaks of the game already teased a similar system. Putting two and two together, it seems fairly obvious that Rockstar Games has implemented GTA San Andreas’ dynamic body transformation system to some extent.

At a later point in the trailer, Lucia is competing in what seems to be an underground fighting circuit. She shows fast moves in the brief footage, suggesting that this part of the game will allow players to master different combat styles.

Additionally, Lucia is seen boxing in the screenshots provided by the studio. For context, GTA San Andreas incorporated fighting styles like Boxing, Taekwondo, and Muay Thai for players to experiment with. Something similar might show up in GTA 6.

This should be particularly exciting to the fans since recent Rockstar Games titles have been criticized for their underwhelming melee combat. Perhaps the studio has addressed these criticisms in the upcoming release.
