Also Says GTA 6 Will Have Highest Hardware Requirements of Any PC Game Yet!

Story Highlight
  • The Corsair CEO has said that GTA 6 will head to PC in early 2026.
  • He also stated that it will be the most demanding game on the platform in terms of hardware requirements.
  • CEO Andy Paul expects a major boom for the market as the next Grand Theft Auto title approaches its release date.

In typical Grand Theft Auto fashion, GTA 6 is set to launch as a console exclusive later this year. There is no telling how long Rockstar Games will take to port the game to PC, but a new statement suggests the PC port will arrive sooner rather than later.

It is now being said that GTA 6 will arrive on the platform mere months after its console release.

Why it matters: Rockstar Games was previously expected to take its time with the PC version. A former developer even stated that a 2027 launch would make sense for GTA 6 on the platform, but new information suggests otherwise.

Grand Theft Auto Is Returning With A New Entry After A Full Decade

The latest information comes from the Corsair CEO himself. During the company’s Q4 2024 earnings call, CEO Andy Paul discussed the Nvidia RTX 50-series launch and stated that the company’s gaming business was looking better than ever.

As per Andy Paul, the GTA 6 console release in 2025 will be followed by a PC launch in early 2026. He believes this will create excitement within the community and lead to an uptick in sales of components like graphics cards.

It’s (GTA 6) going to come out in the fall for consoles and then early 26 for PC.

The CEO went on to dub the upcoming Grand Theft Auto entry the most hardware-demanding title on the platform.

Fans Will Go Back To Vice City This Year

What makes this situation interesting is that CEO Andy Paul’s statement may be more than just an educated guess. If the early 2026 release window is accurate, PC gaming could flourish in never-before-seen ways soon. A similar trend will likely be observed for consoles later this year.

However, this would mean that Rockstar Games is already working on this version alongside the console release. The studio typically takes its time with different versions, so it may still be worth taking this statement with a slight grain of salt.
