Looks Like A DLC To Tsushima!

Story Highlight
  • Ghost of Tsushima is one of the most popular first-party PlayStation games.
  • Many fans were excited for its sequel, but after the recent gameplay, they were left disappointed.
  • Fans are claiming that Ghost of Yotei is a reskin of Tsushima.

Ghost of Tsushima is one of Sony’s most loved and perhaps overrated titles. Many have claimed this title to not lived up to the hype Sony fanboys created. However, it still featured good combat and a gorgeous open world.

As the game has many fans, they were pretty hyped for Ghost of Yotei. However, they collectively feared one thing that it may look way too identical to Tsushima and guess what? It does. After the new gameplay reveal, fans are not happy with the title and are claiming it to be a reskin of Ghost of Tsushima

Why it matters: Nowadays, developers reskin the old game and call it a sequel, which works in franchises like Yakuza. However, it doesn’t work in every single series.

Just recently, the gameplay footage of Ghost of Yotei was revealed, disappointing many fans. While there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the title, it looks identical to Tsushima, which is why fans are calling it a DLC to that game

No offence, but Sony should stop playing safe with their sequels. This is almost pure copy of GOT. Sony should be more creative with their franchises.

The graphics don’t look super impressive, compared to other 2025 PS5 games.

I wasn’t impressed. Looks like a GoT reskin. Didn’t evolve it enough.

Sony has been doing this for a long time in its games as as Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, and Spider-Man 2 featured a lot of similarities to their prequels. However, Kojima shocked the world with the sequel to Death Stranding. The sequel was by no means a reskin and was very different.

Fans Are Disappointed With Ghost of Tsushima’s Sequel

Now, fans are calling the gaming giant for reskining Tsushima, and this game will probably not get away with it. That is because the developer promised to innovate the sequel, and adding guns is not innovation. While many are against this, there are plenty who are excited for the title, and there is nothing wrong with that.
