Fans Are Asking CDPR To Reconsider Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Pro Update

Cyberpunk 2077 Can Shine On PS5 Pro!

Story Highlight
  • CDPR recently confirmed having no plans to enhance Cyberpunk 2077 for Sony’s mid-gen refresh.
  • However, fans are demanding that the developer reconsider it.
  • This is because PS5 doesn’t offer a great ray tracing experience in Cyberpunk 2077, so a pro patch will benefit it a lot.

Cyberpunk 2077 is among the most demanding video games, offering otherworldly visuals. If you want to experience its visuals at their best, the PC is currently the platform for that.

While the PS5 offers ray tracing in the game, it only includes ray-traced shadows, and the frame rates are locked at 30. On the other hand, on PC, the FPS isn’t locked, and along with ray-traced shadows, you get reflections, ambient occlusion, direct illumination, and path tracing.

This is the game where a PS5 Pro patch was needed so that PlayStation fans could enjoy it even more. However, CDPR recently confirmed that it has no plans to enhance Cyberpunk 2077 for PS5. Due to this, fans are now asking the developer to reconsider a patch for the title.

Why it matters: Cyberpunk 2077 is one of those games that would look a lot better on PS5 Pro than the base PS5 due to the PSSR and, of course, the upgraded hardware.

Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Pro Patch Demand
Many Fans Are Asking CDPR To Consider A PS5 Pro Patch For The Title

Many fans on Twitter are asking CDPR to reconsider a patch for the pro console, as it would matter a lot in this game. CD Projekt Red is currently pretty busy with The Witcher 4 and its other projects, so it is understandable why the developer didn’t pursue a pro patch

I’ll pick up a copy when there’s a PS5 Pro patch. And if there isn’t, I won’t be playing 2077.

However, the demand has been increasing a lot, and hopefully, the developer can make some time for it.

Cyberpunk 2077 is arguably one of the best-looking games, so demanding a PS5 Pro Patch makes sense. If the fans continue demanding, the developer might reconsider, but so far, it doesn’t seem to have any interest in doing so.

Please reconsider this decision. The demand for a Pro patch is high and would give everyone an excuse to do another playthrough.
