Story Highlight
  • Following the recent leak, EA has finally revealed the pre-alpha gameplay of Battlefield 6.
  • Although the developers have only shared 10-second footage, it highlights realistic destruction mechanics.
  • The team has also introduced Battlefield Labs, a closed testing environment for the series.

Recently, it was reported that Electronic Arts is sending Battlefield 6 playtest invites to select players.

Following the recent leak, EA has just confirmed the Battlefield Labs, a new closed testing environment for the series. The team has also revealed the first pre-alpha gameplay footage.

Why it matters: While the recent entries in the franchise have failed to meet fans’ expectations, the demand for Battlefield 6 is still strong.

Just now, the official Battlefield YouTube channel released a new video confirming Battlefield Labs, a place for developers to test concepts and experiences with fans.

We want our community to play a key role in the future of Battlefield and this is an opportunity for many of you to do just that.

It looks like the developers want to hear more from the fans and get their feedback to develop Battlefield 6. This might be great for the franchise, as many fans have felt disappointed following the recent releases in the series.

Battlefield 6 Is Still Many Years Away

The developers have also shared 10 seconds of gameplay footage at the end of the video, which looks stunning already. However, it should also be noted that the shared footage is from pre-alpha gameplay and nowhere close to the actual gameplay.

The gameplay also showcased the classic Battlefield destruction mechanics, which appeared more realistic than in past games. We previously reported that the next Battlefield would feature highly realistic destruction, and the trailer proves it.

While recent reports have suggested that almost all the developers working on Battlefield 6 have never worked on the franchise before, it’s great to see that the developers have introduced a community testing program that will keep fans connected to the series.

Nonetheless, Battlefield 6’s gameplay looks incredible, setting massive expectations already. Are you excited for the next Battlefield entry? Let us know in the comments or join Tech4Gamers Forums.
