Almost Double The Size of Its Predecessor?

Story Highlight
  • Death Stranding 2 previews were just recently released, and they are highly positive.
  • The game is set to release in just over a month, but we still aren’t sure of how much time it will take to complete.
  • One of the previews mentioned that it took them 30 hours to complete 40 percent of the story, which implies that it will take up to 75 hours to complete the main story.

Death Stranding 2, one of the most hyped releases this year, is finally being released in just over a month. Just recently, many people got the privilege to test out the first 30 hours of the game, and each one of them has done nothing but sing praises of this spectacular title.

That said, one of the previews mentioned that the 30 hours they played represent 40 percent of the story. This could mean that the overall story may take up to 75 hours to complete.

Why it matters: Death Stranding takes around 40 hours to beat, so it would mean that its sequel is almost double in size.

Death Stranding 2 Previews Hint Toward A Solid Release From Hideo Kojima

Eurogamer mentioned in its preview that “The 30 hours I played represent around 40 percent of the story”. If we take into account that it took them 40 hours to complete 40 percent of the story, it is possible for the overall story to reach the conclusion in a total of 75 hours

However, this sum isn’t perfectly accurate as we have no means of confirming it for now. The first half of the story could have a slow progression as compared to the other half, which may be relatively quicker to finish, or it could be the complete opposite

This is mere speculation, but it seems highly likely to be true. Also, note that this only includes the main story and not the side quests. As Death Stranding 2 is an open-world game, it may take a lot of your time to complete it 100 percent

It is also worth noting that Eurogamer may have gone for other side quests, which could have prolonged getting to the 40 percent point. However, the main point is that this game features more content than its predecessor.
